NS Record
Under what circumstances is NS record needed?
[If the sub domain name is resolved by other DNS server provider, NS record is needed.]
How to add NS record?
- A. Please enter sub domain name in host name field. (For example, if you authorize www.123.com to other DNS server to resolve it, you should enter www in host name field. Host name field @ cannot be NS record. The sub domain name which is authorized to other will not influence other sub domain name’s resolution.)
- B. Type of record is NS.
- C. Type of line (It is necessary to choose acquiescence. Otherwise some users cannot resolve.)
- D. The value record is authorized DNS server’s domain name. After the record has created, it will input “.” behind the domain name automatically. This is a normal phenomenon.
- E. You don’t need to enter MX priority.
- F. Do not need to enter TTL because the system will generate it automatically. 600 seconds is default.
(TTL is cache time. The smaller the number is, the faster the modified record goes into effect.)
