How to add TXT record?

Under what circumstances is TXT record needed?

[If you want to remark you domain name, you can use TXT record. Most TXT records are used as SPF record (anti-spam).]

How to add TXT record?

  • A. In the host record field, please add sub domain name. (If you want to add TXT record of www.123.com, you should enter www in host record field; if you want to add TXT record of 123.com, please keep the field empty. @ will be entered in the field automatically.)
  • B. Type of record is TXT.
  • C. Type of line (It is necessary to choose acquiescence. Otherwise some users cannot resolve. TXT record does not need intelligent resolution, so please choose acquiescence.)
  • D. The value of record is not fixed format. But most of the time, TXT record is used as SPF anti-spam.
The most typical TXT record of SPF format is“v=spf1 a mx ~all” which shows that only the domain name’s IP address of A record and MX record is authorized to send email.
  • E. You don’t need to enter MX priority.
  • F. Do not need to enter TTL because the system will generate it automatically. 600 seconds is default.
(TTL is cache time. The smaller the number is, the faster the modified record goes into effect.)
